ELM requires sellers to have been in business for at least two years, with net revenues of $150k+.

e-Local Marketplace (ELM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The $400 annual subscription fee* supports ELM operations and outreach, including tech readiness and ELM marketplace training. These critical steps help position more local small business owners to engage with major local buyers who may typically otherwise be inaccessible.
*Additional fees: A 4% fee applies per transaction. Sellers are encouraged to adjust pricing accordingly. All fees are subject to change.

Business development assistance is available to help prepare business owners for e-Local Marketplace. To discuss your specific needs, please e-mail: asummers@e-localmarketplace.org for assistance.
Initial registration should take about 30-40 minutes. Refer to the "Start Selling" page to see the registration checklist and ensure all information is readily available. Gather your business formation documents, including your Illinois Secretary of State file number, which can be found here: Business Entity Search (ilsos.gov) for a seamless experience. Remember: No company website is required.
Once your online registration is processed, an e-Local Marketplace Representative will contact and guide future ELM sellers through the technical steps needed to be visible on the marketplace.
